Introduction

The Department of Computer Engineering and Department of Information Science were established under the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology in 2010. There are 19 members of academic staff, including head of department, in the department of computer engineering.

         In 6 -Year Direct Intake System, first year and second year are under the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology and the students have to teach the compound subjects. From third year to sixth year, the students have to teach the major subjects to be a computer engineer. Moreover, the sixth year (final) students must submit the B.E thesis in their second semester and they will get 9 credits for the thesis.

         There are other fulfillments to get a bachelor degree. The students need to visit three times for the industrial training from third year to fifth year and once for internship training in sixth year. Hence the students will get 2 credits for industrial training and 4 credits for internship training. Moreover the students from third year to fifth year, must do the year end project and they will get 2 credits for the project.

         Therefore, the average credit points for this B.E (CE) programme must be around 280.

         The programme focus on three major fields: Networking, Embedded System and Security. The programme included 33 major subjects and 12 supporting subjects.
